Lets get this clear - by neworking we are not talking about plugging cables in or linking computers together. There are some similarities though.

How often have you heard this? Well, its true. People with an extended circle of business contacts never want for leads and enquiries.
- 2) Word of mouth is the best form of advertising
Not only the best, but the cheapest! How many times have you told friends and relatives about a restaurant you visited or a plumber you have used? Quite a few I would imagine. I would also imagine that the people you told were pleased to have heard the news because a recommendation like this beats taking a risk with the phone book or classified ads in the paper.

Get involved!
There are a number of networking groups around to accelerate your networking activity. Groups like BNI, BRE, Chambers of Commerce, and other Lead Generation Clubs exist to promote the sharing of business contacts. Don't forget though, the BNI slogan is 'Givers Gain' so you will not be welcomed with open arms if you cannot provide quality referrals for others too!
