Limited liability Partnerships are a kind of combination between a partnership and limited libility company. LLPs have only been around since 2001. They are more expensive and more complex to set up than other types of business and the majority of businesses that choose this method are professional service companies such as solicitors, accountants and architects etc. It is worth pointing out that for some reason this is not available in Northern Ireland!
