    If you are new to share trading this could be a good book for you.

    When you want to move on to more detailed analysis, (WHEN & WHAT to BUY and WHEN TO SELL) consider other Dummies books.

    I prefer to use technical Analysis (see TA for Dummies), but if you prefer analysis of Fundamentals, see FA for Dummies.

    You will need more than in this book alone to trade sucessfully, but you need to get a solid grouding before you start to trade.

    This book explains very well the principles behind investing in shares and offers a very realistic view of this type of investment, explaining the risks clearly, and proposing a sound strategy to get started.

    I have bought a few of the "For Dummies" books over the years and find they always teach me something (even when I thought I was already an "expert"). I didn't have much of a clue on this particular subject but after learning some helpful tips I am already showing a nice profit on my modest investments after only one month.
